CLOMPOZE® Tablets
For the treatment of stereotypic behaviours (obsessive-compulsive disorders) and as an aid in the treatment of anxiety disorders in dogs.
Active Ingredient
Each tablet contains CLOMIPRAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE.Actions
Clomipramine – the active ingredient in CLOMPOZE® Tablets – acts by reducing the re-uptake of noradrenaline and serotonin in the central nervous system, thereby prolonging activity.Indications
For the treatment of stereotypic behaviours (obsessive-compulsive disorders) in dogs such as acral lick dermatitis, excessive grooming and tail chasing. As an aid in the treatment of anxiety disorders in dogs such as destructiveness, excessive vocalisation, and loss of toilet control, associated with separation anxiety.Dosage & Administration
CLOMPOZE® Tablets should be administered twice daily at a dose rate of 1-2 mg clomipramine hydrochloride/kg bodyweight to give a total daily dose of 2-4 mg/kg according to the table below.CLOMPOZE® 20:
>5 – 10kg bodyweight, 1/2 tablet, twice daily
>10 – 20kg bodyweight, 1 tablet, twice daily
CLOMPOZE® 80:
>10 – 20kg bodyweight, 1/4 tablet, twice daily
>20 – 40kg bodyweight, 1/2 tablet, twice daily
>40 – 80kg bodyweight, 1 tablet, twice daily
